Cooperative Work and Study Program

Cooperative Education
Sometimes called work study, this program allows you to alternate between semesters of full-time study and related paid full-time work. It takes five years to receive a bachelor's degree under this plan, but you get a year's practical experience, too.
The Cooperative Work Experience program offers you an opportunity to earn college credit by working in a job that is directly related to your major area of study. Co-op opens the door to expanded learning experiences through exposure to actual work situations, organizational relationships, and equipment and techniques that cannot be duplicated in the classroom. Cooperative Work Experience is a requirement for most professional-technical programs.
